So it has come to my attention that while I’ve been in internet hybernation that the world has continued to revolve around me and there’s so much to talk about “there’s no excuse to not be posting more than I am.”
I’d like to point out that I’ve been pretty active over on flickr. My 365 attempt has been a BIG SUCCESS so far. And by that I mean, I HAVEN’T FAILED! Yet. Yesterday marked my 49th day which means I’ve officially made it farther than any other attempt. This time I let go of the ridiculous notion that all of my pictures are going to be fabulous and planned and brilliantly photoshopped into perfection. And it’s odd because now that I’m not constantly stressed out about getting a shot up, the days that I do take the time to set them up and then photoshop the hell out of them they are coming out pretty damn well! Some of my most favorite self portraits to date, actually. Here’s a few that I’ve loved so far:

Lets see, what else is going on? Okay, I’ll start with this. I was temporarily pissed off at the internet. I lost a few (what I thought were) good friends over a message board around the end of November and I was just kind of like BLAH. And it was one of those things I really wanted to write about to “let it all out” but I know that it will just create more waves and it’s not really worth it. I never thought that by closing down a message board, so many people would turn into complete idiots and OMGHATE ME FOREVER(exclamation point). And to them I can just say: WHAT. EV. ER. If your way of getting over it is to have to kiss the ass of people that you claimed to hate and treated like shit for over two years so be it. I’m glad I finally found out your true character, which is “two face and spineless” and I’ll leave you with this:

I’m starting a “raw diet” today. Another reason I haven’t been around much is that I’ve been feeling like complete crap. Literally. Everything I eat is being ejected from my stomach in a foul manor. EVERYTHING. I eat plain white rice and suddenly I’m in pain and can’t get more than 100 feet from a toilet without panicking. I’ve done a lot of reading online the last few days and I’m thinking if I can get my body to detox it might help. I’m a little worried about protein intake though so while I might not stick to it as stringently as some people, if I do eat meat it won’t be blue cheese encrusted and doused in butter… sadly. 🙁
And lastly! I’ll really try and make a more solid effort to blog more. I have still been reading your blogs (Google Reader = *heart*) daily and need to get back into the swing of things around here.

So what is going on with your body? It is quite possible to get sufficient protein and stay with raw. Try some nuts (the kind that grow on trees…) and seeds (e.g. sunflower and pumpkin…). You can also detox with cooked vegies, they don’t all have to be raw. In fact, bloating (and the end result) factor is sometimes less with cooked vegies.
So that you know that someone else is suffering, I’ve been fighting a case of shingles since last week. Taking massive doses of anti-viral drugs and steroids. The anti-virals are to stop the infection and the steroids are to prevent downsteam nerve pain. Seems that the shingles are caused by the same virus as chickenpox which hides in your body, on nerves, waiting to come out in a new and horrible way in later life. Mine was a fairly mild case and I dearly hope to not experience a more serious case EVER! First there was a bit of itching where I broke out. This was accompanied by some fever. Then it really started to become uncomfortable. This was with only a total of about two square inches of total rash on my neck from below my ear to the end of my chin. Now that I’m a little over a week along, and the rash is drying out and healing, the itching is back and the pain is still there. The medications are causing a bit of headache and the whole thing is really taking the wind out of my sails.
So, let’s get better together!

So the body: I dunno. For the last week or so (and really longer if I sit here and think about it) anything I eat has just not been tolerated. Even something as simple as plain white rice. I’ve been reading and reading and reading and I really feel like my body just needs a break from processed food and trans fats and sugar and the rest of the CRAP I put into it on a daily basis. It might not work but I figured fresh veggies and nuts and stuff can’t really HURT me so it’s worth a try.
Shingles: Shingles! Troy’s dad had a case of them on his back and I remember how miserable he was. My poor daddy. 🙁 I’ve never had never pain but from what I’ve heard and read it’s pretty intense. So yes! We need to get better together!
Error: I thought at first the error was being caused by the ad in the sidebar which was going to make me sad because 1) I’m getting paid pretty well to have it there and 2) I am contracted to have it there for at least 5 more months! But it wasn’t that. It was a sneaky site that I let use my site for SEO linkage but apparently they were abusing the power and they have been forthwith banned from The Land of She Who Rules The Domain.
I’m up to day eighteen on my Project 365 and I haven’t missed a day yet. I’m proud already so I think I will be super-proud when I hit day 49 with no misses! I have missed one day of Meghan’s 365 days but its just the one so lets keep it that way.
I hope you can sort some sort out diet out so you feel better.
Your photos never cease to amaze or amuse me 🙂 They’re awesome. I’m pretty keen to start the 365 thing, but i’m certain i’d run out of ideas. It’d be pretty awesome to have a group where ideas are thought up, and then everyone has to do those photos based on those ideas. At least i’d have some inspiration that way!
sorry to hear that you’re ill. I had a spell like that a few weeks ago. Thankfully it’s gone now. My mothers cooking combined with my mothers smoking does make for a very ill stomach, sadly 🙁
Sarah, there is a group like that! They pick a new group every day and “invade” it. You know what group it’s going to be two/three days in advance so you can plan shots and you also get a lot of exposure to the shot. I think three of the shots up there were shots for that group.

Ok first of all are you talking about the macrobiotic diet deal? Posh supposedly has Becks on that so they can ensure they have a girl. Yes, I’m obsessed with the Becks. Let me know how that diet goes btw. My new thing is Yoga. I’m submerging myself into it or something like that in an attempt to have a totally Zen state.
Two. Messageboards always go like that. I don’t get it really.
Three. The smart people say that to get indexed by teh google fastest I need to submit my site so they stalk me, done. They have been stalking me already for the last couple days so, done. They also suggested I comment on a site that was already indexed and a wonderful PR so voila here I be.
Anything else I need to do so I can get oh so popular with the search engines?
Congrats for plodding on with the photos! I died out at around 80 days on my first run with 365 days. I did a few more, but they were sporadic, and I finally got disgusted and through in the towel altogether. Now though, I think I’m off to a good start… today is day 21 and I haven’t missed a beat!
And… how is that raw diet going? It sounds intriguing. You’ll have to post on how it works for you!
